Hi John and Jack,
We often listen to ABC radio on the internet and we were interested to hear of your trip from Melbourne to London. If you happen to be coming to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia we'd love to have you have a cuppa and stop overnight. My wife and I are Melbournites and have been living here since 2006 as volunteers in our retirement.
Wishing you all the best on the trip.

Hi Jon and Jack
Good Journey. I did London to Karachi with four friends(one friend and I nursed in Northern Pakistan for the next year)in an ex Black Maria in 1964. No phones only snail mail.
Every day will be an adventure and what you see and learn will stay with you all your life. Thanks for sharing the journey.

Hi Jon,
Good luck with the trip.
Pity about China, as I would recommend driving from Kashgar 80+ km along the Karakoram highway to Lake Karakul - most spectacular with it's glaciiers.

Good luck boys. I'm sure it will be an incredible journey. I hope you get to travel through Croatia; there are so many beautiful things to see there. Just watch out for the crazy drivers on the Adriatic coast highway. I'm guessing there'll be a book about the trip one day soon; can't wait to read it. Regards Tony

HI guys,

What an *rse!!

But not entirely surprising. I expect they just want you to go the same way as Peking To Paris as they have already got clearance from on high for that?!

Still Mongolia will be worth it. Shame to miss Kasgar though.
